Summer Reading Programs




Children’s Programs


Signing Time
            Mondays, July 13, 20, 27, & August 3, 10: 30-11:30 AM
Certified instructor, Lisa Perry, will be offering fun, loving, educational sign language classes to children aged 0 - 5 years and their caregivers.

Pajama Storytime
            Wednesdays, July 8, 15, 22, 29 & Aug. 5, 7:00-7:30 PM
A traditional favorite - enjoy evenings of stories and sing-along fun.

Super Craft Activities & Snack

An open house-style program where children will take part in a simple activity and enjoy a quick snack.

Lego Block Party

Kids can build a masterpiece using Legos we provide.

Lunch at the Movies

Pack your lunch and we’ll have a picnic while we keep cool and watch a movie.

Moreland the Magician
            Tuesday, July 7, 6:00 PM
“There’s a HERO at Your LIBRARY!” Show 
Join David Moreland the Magician as he searches for heroes – everyday heroes, famous heroes, and superheroes -- in our library.  His high-energy 45-minute show blends magic, puppetry, comedy, and audience participation, and culminates in a musical melodrama skit -- starring children from the audience!           

Graffiti Day CANCELED DUE TO RAIN
Let’s take over the town with some creativity and sidewalk chalk. After, we will cool off in the library with root beer floats - appropriate for 5th grade and up.

Wildlife Defenders
Wednesday, July 14, 2:30-3:30 PM
Join us for an exciting wildlife education program where you will see a variety of native and exotic wildlife. It’s fun for the whole family!



Super Sewing
            Thursday, July 16, 2:30-4:00 PM
Learn how to create toys and sew "cage comforters" for pets. We will donate our creations to the local Humane Society.  appropriate for 5th grade and up.


Fire Fighters
             Thursday, July 23  July 30, 4-5:00 PM
Walk with us to the fire station and meet and learn about our local heroes. After the tour we’ll enjoy a treat at the libray.
Due to an unforeseen conflict with the fire department this program is rescheduled for Thursday, July 30, 4-5:00 PM.


Super Hero-Themed Charms
Thursday, Aug. 6, 2:30-4:00 PM
Create shrink plastic charms for unique jewelry – appropriate for 5th grade and up.



Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Bring a stuffed animal to the library, tuck them in and kiss them goodnight. After dark the animals will enjoy a night of fun in the library. Come back on Saturday morning to see what mischief they got into during the night!

Register and drop off a favorite stuffed pal.

How to Stay Clean in the Toxic World We Live In

·         Recognize toxins and eliminate them
·         Learn how to detox by removing accumulated toxins in body
·         Discover ways to gain energy, prevent disease, lose weight and feel better


Stamping & Card-making

Learn new stamping and card-making techniques with two make and take projects. PLEASE SIGN UP IN ADVANCE.


Knot Only Knitters
All are welcome to join this ongoing group, which meets Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 PM. You don't have to be a knitter! Bring whatever project you are working on - crochet, cross-stitch, hand-sewing, etc...
